This is a simple , Really Simple Lesson
Let me Give you some examples you will need to learn how to expand brackets :
2(X+5) do You know how to work that out ? Go ahead, Try and work it out and write your answer.
So to expand, You have to Multiply X with 2 Which answers to 2x. And then you just Multiply 2 by 5 Which is 10
So 2(x+5) = 2x+10
Now , If you didnt understand that , please post about what you dont understand.
Example #2 :
(x+3) (x+2)
Now , if you are in the middle set , i think Mr. Khorum ( Not sure with the spelling of his name) has showed you the Smiley Face way to expand those. if your not in the middle set , let me show you.
(X+3) (X+2) First X x X Which is X Squared. then 3 x 2 = 6
So now we have X squared +6
Then you go for 3 x X = 3x and X x 2= 2x
So its X squared + 6 + 5x
BUT Always Remember to do it This way ( X sqaured , Number of X's Then number. )
So = X squared + 5x + 6
The Smiley Face Way will be added as an attachment in the near future.
Please remember , if you need any more help with expanding brackets , post them below . I will be happy to help and i am sure that our staff will offer to help too.
